TBest Services is looking for skilled Carpenters for our client out of Beltsville, MD. We are asking that all candidates that apply be within a 30 mile radius of the DC area. Depending on experience you will be submitted as a direct hire or temporary to permeant employee. To ensure success as a journeyman carpenter, you should be able to interpret architectural blueprints and ensure the safety and quality of the final product. Ultimately, a top-notch journeyman carpenter should show exceptional attention to detail and have excellent analytical thinking abilities.

Whats Expected??

You are expected to be organized, show attention to detail, have customer service experience and a professional appearance and demeanor. Ideally we would expect you will have rough and finish carpentry experience on larger scale projects. You will need your own tools and must be able to drive your personal vehicle to each jobsite, located throughout Maryland, DC and Virginia that you are assigned daily. You must be able to communicate well with all levels and maintain a great attitude. If you have 5+ years of carpentry experience, especially specific to restoration, You will be required to undergo  background and drug screening once an you have accepted an offer with our organization.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Reading and interpreting architectural blueprints, diagrams, and plans.
  • Determining the type and amount of material required for each project.
  • Transporting the materials and equipment to each work site.
  • Constructing wooden structures such as concrete forms, frameworks, scaffolding, furniture, and similar elements.
  • Installing wooden structures such as frames, stairways, rafters, furniture, and partitions.
  • Inspecting the integrity of structures upon their installation.
  • Monitoring inventory and replenishing supplies, as needed.
  • Complying with all applicable safety regulations.
  • Training and managing apprentices and subordinates.

Qualifications

•Driver’s License (Required)
