Shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM / half an hour for lunch.
Our client in Arbutus is looking for a Slitter Machine Operator that is Slitting 30” and 40” wide rolls of stretch film into 2”-6” wide rolls of stretch film! This location has a very labor oriented production process. The operator would be responsible for the slitting, boxing, placing the product on the skid. They would also be responsible for cleaning up the area at the end of each work day. Its important that the operator has experience in how to measure and be able to lift 50-80lb rolls multiple times in a day. The expected maximum output for each operator is roughly 4 rolls an hour. Which 32 ROLLS A DAY!!!! That’s not all, check out the weekly bonus break down below.

When a temp converts 2 skids of 88 to 90 cases or 3 skids-108 cases of the 5″ product in an 8 hour period, they will be eligible for a case bonus over and above
their base hourly rate!
How to qualify for the weekly bonus:
Work 8 hours each day.
Work 5 days for each week.
emergencies and scheduled time off handled on a case by case basis. If you are absent without notice, you will forfeit
the bonus for the week. each week is the start of a new bonus week.
This is what the bonus breakdown would be for the different sizes of material:
2″ $.010 a roll (earn an additional $21.12 a day or $105.60 for the week) $2.640 per hour
3″ $.010 a roll (earn an additional $15.84 a day or $079.20 for the week) $1.980 per hour
5″ $.125 a case (earn an additional $11.00 a day or $055.00 for the week) $1.375 per hour
