TBest Services is excited to find a skilled Automotive Mechanic for our client in Rochester, NY. We’re looking for someone who really gets cars and is dedicated to top-notch service.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Work on gasoline and diesel engines, doing things like adjusting crankshafts, fitting pistons, and looking after bearings.
- Take charge of big jobs like overhauling transmissions and differentials.
- Regularly check and fix fuel, cooling, and exhaust systems.
- Carefully inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, car frames, air brakes, and other extras.
- Use special tools like valve-grinders, lathes, and welding gear safely and accurately.
- Help fix special equipment.
- Confidently operate various motorized tools.
- Stick to the dress code and stay safe at work.
- Get vehicles ready for Department of Transportation (DOT) inspections.
- Handle other tasks related to the job.
Skills and Experience We’re Looking For:
- Really good with all the tools and tricks of the car mechanic trade.
- Always focused on safety.
- Able to tackle complex car repairs.
- Quick and skilled at figuring out mechanical problems.
- Comfortable working on your own, following instructions or using your own judgment.
- Great at working with others and being part of a team.
- Physically fit, agile, and reliable.
- Having a New York State CDL Class A or B with Passenger and Airbrake endorsements is a bonus.
- High school or vocational diploma, or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in fixing cars.
- Familiar with DOT regulations.
- A mix of formal training and real-world experience.
- If you speak both Ukrainian/Russian and English, that’s a plus.
