TBest is actively seeking an experienced Electrician to join our client’s dynamic team in Rochester, NY. You will be responsible for installing and repairing complex electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems working from a technical blueprint. To perform in this role, you need an electrician degree from a technical college and experience in the field working on simple and complex electrical systems. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting fixtures, ensuring safety and functionality.
- Understand and apply technical diagrams and blueprints for accurate electrical installations and maintenance of electrical systems.
- Perform routine electrical maintenance tasks, including the upkeep of electrical control systems and periodic inspections.
- Carefully inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other vital electrical components to identify and prevent potential issues.
- Utilize specialized testing devices to diagnose and resolve electrical malfunctions effectively.
- Repair or replace faulty equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures as needed, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Strictly adhere to the National Electrical Code, as well as state and local building regulations, to ensure all electrical work is compliant with legal standards.
- Regularly service circuit breakers to ensure safety and functionality.
- Plan new or modified installations to provide access for future maintenance and avoid unsightly and hazardous wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
- Collaborate with team members to guarantee efficient and timely project execution.
- Stay updated on heating and air conditioning systems and be proficient with electrical testing equipment.
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation
- By fulfilling these responsibilities, the Electrician will contribute to the overall safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of our client’s electrical systems.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or training in vocational school or Electrician degree from a technical college.
- 1-2 year of hands-on experience as an Electrician.
- Valid New York State Electrician’s license or certification preferred.
- OSHA is a plus or will be provided.
- In-depth understanding of electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for job-related travel.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Written and spoken English.
- Bilingual candidates (Ukrainian/Russian+English) is a plus
- Work Authorization.
