At this time, we are actively seeking an accomplished General Manager for our client’s home care service based in Buffalo, NY. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in nursing and health care, accompanied by experience in managing staff, operations, and patient relations. This integral role involves ensuring the delivery of top-quality care, supervising operations and personnel, and enriching the lives of our client’s patients.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, evaluate, and lead home care staff, fostering a high-performance and supportive work culture.
- Supervise patient care to ensure utmost quality and adherence to all pertinent regulations.
- Participate in care management meetings, proactively addressing and resolving issues.
- Identify team training needs and coordinate appropriate instructional activities.
- Oversee recruitment advertisements and interview processes to attract and retain high-caliber staff.
- Routinely assess and update existing policies and procedures to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide comprehensive reports to the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority, ensuring complete regulatory compliance.
- Conduct regular audits of care plans and medication records to uphold superior care standards.
- Oversee budget management to ensure financial efficiency and long-term sustainability.
- Proactively recognize and manage potential crisis situations, safeguarding the wellbeing of all patients and staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration, Business, or related field.
- Minimum of two years in healthcare management or supervisory role.
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with industry regulations and healthcare best practices.
- Proficient in budgeting and financial management.
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite and healthcare management software.
- Candidates with specialized unit management or relevant management course experience preferred.
