We’re currently hunting for an experienced General Manager for our client’s home care service in Syracuse, NY. The successful candidate will have a solid background in nursing and health care, along with experience managing staff, operations, and patient relations. This pivotal role entails providing high-quality care, overseeing operations and staff, and enhancing the lives of our client’s patients.


  • Hire, train, appraise, and supervise home care staff to create a high-performance, supportive environment.
  • Oversee patient care, ensuring high quality and compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Attend care management meetings to address and resolve issues.
  • Identify and organize appropriate training activities based on team needs.
  • Manage job advertisements and interview processes to ensure high-quality staff hires.
  • Regularly review and amend existing policies and procedures to comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Report to the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority, adhering to all regulations.
  • Regularly audit care plans and medication records to maintain high care standards.
  • Manage budget to ensure financial efficiency and sustainability.
  • Proactively identify and manage potential crisis situations to ensure resident and staff safety and wellbeing.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of two years in healthcare management or supervisory role.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with industry regulations and healthcare best practices.
  • Proficient in budgeting and financial management.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite and healthcare management software.
  • Candidates with specialized unit management or relevant management course experience preferred.
