TBest Services is currently seeking an experienced Banquet Server to join our client’s team in Washington, DC. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to guests during banquet and catering events. Your attention to detail, professional demeanor, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the success of our events. This position offers weekly payment and a flexible schedule to accommodate your needs.
Responsibilities:
- Set up banquet and catering event spaces according to the event coordinator’s instructions, ensuring proper arrangement of tables, chairs, linens, and other items.
- Assist in the preparation and serving of food and beverages during events, adhering to established service standards.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests, inquiries, and special needs, ensuring their satisfaction.
- Monitor event areas to ensure cleanliness and replenish supplies as needed throughout the duration of events.
- Clear tables and clean up banquet and catering areas after events, ensuring proper storage of items and cleanliness of the space.
- Collaborate with the event coordinator and other team members to ensure smooth event operations and excellent guest experiences.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Banquet Server or in a similar role is required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work well within a team as well as independently.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy trays and equipment when necessary.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
