Description:

TBest has started a new contract with a restoration company based out of Baltimore MD. They are currently looking for qualified restoration technicians to grow with their organization.

Summary:
Assists with the activities of Restoration Division by performing the following duties personally
or through subordinate helpers.

Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include the following):
Scope of work includes Emergency Services (non-construction) on-location retail services, and in-plant cleaning. Basic cleaning, removing water, flooring, drywall. This also involves participation in the on-call rotation for providing emergency services. Assist and accepts delegated tasks from Production Manager, Emergency Cord. and the Foreman Emergency Technician. Technician must also maintain clean, well-equipped vehicles. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Possess a valid Maryland Drivers License. Driving record meets insurance carriers’ minimum requirements and a copy of the driving record must be submitted on an annual basis to the Office Manager. Unless otherwise agreed upon with Production Manager.
  • Good communication skills, including ability to present and speak to customers, co-workers and small groups.
  • Ability to exercise integrity, at the moment of choice.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interprets general work orders and reports.
  • Ability to think and reason strategically.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as map reading, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak English effectively with customers, employees, or the public in general.
  • Ability to take accurate measurements.

  • Often carries up to 100lbs.
  • Daily must drive vehicle to scheduled appointments and to suppliers.
  • Occasionally handles stressful situations.
  • Often moves furniture or other customer property to perform scope of work.
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to stand, sit, walk, climb or balance, kneel, crouch or crawl.

  • Many of the duties are performed on job site locations as necessary.
  • Often duties are performed at the Plant.

Responsibilities:
A responsibility is an area you oversee and administrate. Often this includes delegating the tasks. This frequently involves setting up a system to see that the responsibility is fulfilled.

  • Maintain all equipment issued or utilized, to a clean and properly operating condition on a daily basis.
  • Complete all required paperwork on a daily basis.
  • If applicable, Maintain a satisfactory driving record.
  • Maintain a current First Aid and Personal Protection Equipment. Blood Borne Pathogen Class must be completed by the employee introductory period.
  • Arrives at the job site 10 minutes before scheduled.
  • Reports any customer/company property damage immediately to the Emergency Cord/Production Manager. Performs all work in accordance with  Operations Manual.
  • Follow dress and appearance policy according to Operations Manual.
  • Complies with State and Federal laws regarding proper waste disposal procedures.
  • Follow production procedures.
  • Ensure necessary briefing with the Emergency Project Manager for each project immediately after completion.
  • Ensure all paperwork is organized and job progress is maintained as per the Operations Manual.
  • Ensure proper inventory of customers’ property before taking off-site.
  • Ensure proper inventory of any pre-existing damage to the customers’ property before work is initiated.
  • Ensure Value Added Service procedures are implemented.
  • Ensure all customers are satisfied with services performed.

Standard of Performance:

  • All standard of performance must be performed as stated in the Manual.
