How things work:
Event/party schedules are finalized for the banquet department every Tuesday for the up and coming week. We start everyone at this location out with an on-call schedule, which is of your choosing during the application process. Here are a few guidelines for our on-call team:
1. Once an employee is hired they must pick a primary team & a secondary team and specify the shift of their preference. each shift will have 2 employees, a primary employee and a back up employee. Once you pick your schedule you are committing to having availability during those allocated date/times, under no acceptations!
2. If you are set to work you will receive a schedule on Tuesday for the next week. We try not to do last minute call in’s but will allocate a bonus for employees coming to work with less than 24 hours notice. It is the employees responsibility to inform us at least 24 hours in advance if they will not make their shift on time. If an employee has an more than 2 unexcused absences it could result in being suspended from part time work for up to 30 days.
3. want more hours? prove it. this is completely self motivating. If you show up and show out, they will continue to have you back and eventually put you on the roster for more hours/ some even moving in to direct positions with the company. Please note that the team you are choosing may NOT be full hours. Choosing a team mean that your start time will be within the time you selected. All employees are responsible for completing their shift once started.
(Example: if you are on Team A you could receive a 3:30PM start time for your shift. you are responsible for being able to work the shift in its entirety. All no shows will be handled on a case by case basis. Priority on call staff will be given first priority. Priority on-call means that you are available to work any shifts that we have available at this location.)
Team A: Monday / Wednesday / Thursday/ Sunday
A1- 7:00AM – 3:30PM
A2- 3:00PM – 11:00PM
Team B: Tuesday / Thursday/ Friday/ Saturday
B1- 7:00AM – 3:30PM
B2- 3:00PM – 11:00PM
Team C: Primary On Call
JOB FUNCTIONS:
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
A houseman is responsible for the overall sanitation and maintenance of the assigned premises. Housemen duties include assisting in the housekeeping department to clean common areas, repairing and replacing malfunctioned units and furniture, responding on guest’s requests and inquiries, flexibility to multi-task, and coordinating to other personnel for concerns and guests’ assistance. Housemen must run errands accordingly while complying with the policy standards and security regulations. They should also report any incidents or escalated concerns to the management for immediate resolution.
