TBest Services is looking for a Banquet Bartender for our client’s Catering Team in Baltimore, MD. As a Banquet Bartender, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your bartending expertise during high-profile gatherings. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule, making it perfect for those looking to balance their work with other commitments.
The Banquet Bartender is responsible for providing top-notch beverage service, ensuring guests’ needs are met and predicting their preferences, all while maintaining a professional demeanor in a dynamic event setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, stock, and dismantle the bar area before and after events.
- Prepare, mix, and serve drinks according to recipes or guest preferences.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, equipment, and utensils.
- Check guest IDs to ensure age-appropriate service of alcohol.
- Monitor and manage the alcohol consumption of guests, refusing service when necessary.
- Efficiently handle cash and card transactions, ensuring accurate billing for guests.
- Collaborate with catering and event staff to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Quickly address and resolve any guest concerns or complaints.
- Keep track of inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Comply with all food and beverage safety and quality standards.
- Maintain knowledge of current drink trends and offerings.
- Undertake other tasks as directed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A minimum of 1-2 years of bartending experience, preferably in a banquet or event setting.
- Valid bartending or alcohol service certification.
- Proficient communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments and manage demanding situations with grace.
- Knowledge of a wide range of drink recipes and beverage service best practices.
- Reliable transportation and flexibility in scheduling.
- Presentable appearance.
Position Details:
Type: Part-time
Pay rate: $18 – $24 per hour. The final rate is determined by experience and event specifics.
Schedule: Flexible, contingent on event timings. Expectations include weekend work, and shift duties.
