TBest Services is looking for a Banquet Server for our client’s Catering Team in Baltimore, MD. This role calls for an enthusiast ready to exhibit their skills during high-profile events. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule, making it perfect for those looking to balance their work with other commitments.
The Banquet Server will ensure excellent service to guests, accommodating their needs, and anticipating requests. This role demands a professional appearance, a passion for serving, and an ability to work in dynamic settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and break down of event settings: tables, linens, chairs, etc.
- Polish flatware and glassware; maintain cleanliness.
- Provide food and beverage service for events.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and health/safety practices.
- Serve food and beverages with a positive demeanor.
- Prepare dining area with necessary decor and utensils.
- Answer questions about food and beverage selections.
- Work harmoniously with team members for overall event success.
- Possess a sense of urgency when serving and addressing guest needs.
- Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
- Uphold a positive and professional attitude.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
- 1-2 years of Banquet or Catering Server experience.
- Valid food handler’s license.
- Communication skills.
- Ability to serve in crowded areas, demonstrating agility and carrying trays weighing up to 35 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and flexibility in scheduling.
- Well-groomed appearance.
Position Details:
Type: Part-time
Pay rate: $18 – $22 per hour. The final rate is determined by experience and event specifics.
Schedule: Flexible, contingent on event timings. Expectations include weekend work, and shift duties.
